2 arms traders held with fire arms, 20,000 yaba tablets in Ctg
CHATTTOGRAM, Oct 7, 2018 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two
arms traders with eight fire arms and 20,000 pieces of contraband yaba
tablets from a microbus in city’s Lalkhanbazar area this afternoon.
The arrested youths were identified as Alamgir Hossain, 32, son of Abul
Kashem, hailed from Laximpur district and Al Shahrier, son of Amir Hossain
hailed from Noakhali district.
Mimtanur Rahman, Assistant Director of RAB-7 said based on secret
information, a team of the elite force intercepted a Dhaka-bound microbus
from Teknaf at a check post in Lalkhanbazar area around 3 pm today and
recovered eight fire arms and 20,000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets.
The elite force also seized the microbus, he added.
Rahman told journalists that legal action will be taken against the
detainees.
