Proper publicity of massive developments underscored

RANGPUR, Oct 07, 2018 (BSS) – Officials and political leaders at a function here have stressed on conducting proper publicity of the massive developments implemented by the present government in every sector in last ten years.

They came up with the opinion on Saturday night at concluding function of the fourth three-day National Development Fair- 2018 organised by the district administration on Public Library ground in the city.

The fair was arranged for showcasing the government’s developments and successes and providing various government services to the people utilising information technologies and digitised innovations.

A total of 127 stalls were set up on the fair ground by 101 government and non-governmental organisations, institutions, business bodies, industries and private bodies to showcase their respective innovations and achievements.

Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Railway Abul Kalam Azad attended the concluding function and distributed prizes among the winner stalls as the chief guest with Deputy Commissioner Enamul Habib in the chair.

Superintending Engineer of the Public Works Division for Rangpur Circle Md Abdul Gaffer, Deputy Director (Local Government) for Rangpur Ruhul Amin Mian, Executive Engineer of LGED Engineer Akhter Hossain, Organising Secretary of district Awami League (AL) Motahar Hossain Mandal Mowla, its Office Secretary Tauhidur Rahman Tutul and General Secretary of city AL Tushar Kanti Mandal addressed as special guests.

The speakers discussed incredible developments achieved by the present government in every sector in last ten years taking the country on the highway of progress and improving life standard of common people.

Motahar Hossain said the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has made epoch-making progress in digitisation, IT sector, launched Bangabandhu Satellite, mega projects, economic zones and hi-tech parks to speed up uplifts.

Ruhul Amin discussed the successes achieved in implementation of ten special initiatives of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina improving life standard of people and national economy on way to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Engineer Hossain highlighted the government’s successes achieved in implementing MDGs by 2015 and urged all concerned to work sincerely to attain the SDGs for building a middle income nation by 2021 and developed Bangladesh by 2041.

The chief guest called upon the people to work from their own positions with patriotic zeal to build a developed ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Later, he distributed prizes and crests among owners and organisers of ten best stalls set up on the fair ground and prizes among winners of different competitions followed by a colourful cultural function.
