People want to see continuation of development: Hiro
NARSINGDI, Oct 7, 2018 (BSS)-State Minister for Water Resources Lt. Col.
(Retd) Nazrul Islam Hiro (Birpratik) has said the people of Bangladesh want
to see continuation of the ongoing development process being carried out by
the present government to a build happy and prosperous country.
The state minister made the assertion here on Saturday while addressing
the concluding function of the three-day 4th National Development Fair
organized by the district administration on Shilpakala Academy premises.
Nazrul Islam said Bangladesh became a role model for development in the
world under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The state minister expressed the hope that the people will again vote for
Awami League in the upcoming general elections for continuing the country’s
development.
Deputy commissioner of the district Seyda Farhana Kawnine presided over the
function.
Lawmaker Sirajul Islam Mollah, secretary of the Planning Ministry Mafizul
Islam and Police Super Narsingdi Shifullah Al Mamun addressed the occasion as
special guests.
Additional deputy commissioner and convener of the fair organizing
committee Abdul Awal and District Muktijuddah Commander Abdul Motaleb Pathan
also addressed.
A total of 105 stalls of government and non-government organizations,
banks, educational institutions and other bodies took part in the fair.
The state minister distributed prizes among the best stalls participated
in the fair.
