Gangachara received highest development allocation: Ranga

RANGPUR, Oct 07, 2018 (BSS) -State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives
Mashiur Rahman Ranga has said Gangachara upazila has received the highest
development allocation among all upazilas of the country in last five years.

As a result, the state minister said, a massive development, including an
elevated life standard of the common people, has taken place in the area.

Ranga made the observation while addressing a function after inaugurating
the newly built flood control embankment cum guide-wall at Alemar Bazar in
Mornea union of the upazila on Saturday afternoon as the chief guest.

Ranga said the present government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave
a huge importance to the progress of Gangachara upazila during the period.

“The people of Gangachara upazila witnessed huge uplifts of roads,
culverts, bridges, housing facilities and renovation of schools, colleges,
mosques, temples and madrasas,” he said.

He urged the common people to vote for the Grand Alliance under leadership
of Prime Minsiter Sheikh Hasina again for continuation of the development to
build a middle income nation by 2021 and developed Bangladesh by 2041.

Presided over by Gangachara Upazila Nirbahi Officer Syed Enamul Kabir,
deputy director of Bangladesh Rural Development Board (BRDB) Rabeya Sultana,
Upazila Rural Development Officer Abdul Mannan, president of Gangachara
Upazila Jatiya Party Shamsul Haque and Mornea Union Parishad Chairman
Mosaddek Ali Azad addressed the occasion.
