DHAKA, Oct 6, 2018 (BSS)-Bangladesh women’s cricket team ended the T20I
series with another loss as they suffered a seven-wicket defeat against
Pakistan women’s cricket team in the 4th and final T20I series on Saturday at
Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar.

With today’s victory, Pakistan clinched the 4-match series by 3-0 after
the first match was abandoned due to wet outfield.

Batting first after winning the toss, Bangladesh’s batters again struggled
to score runs from the beginning of the innings. Rumana Ahmed’s 24-run off
31-ball was the highest knock as Bangladesh were eventually bowled out for a
paltry total of 77 from their allotted 20 overs.

Natalia was the pick of Pakistani bowler as she grabbed three Bangladesh’s
wickets conceding 20 runs. She was well supported by Sana Mir and Diana Baig
both of whom captured two wickets each giving away 10 and 12 runs
respectively.

Bangladesh needed regular breakthroughs to defend the small total but
unfortunately that did not happen. Pakistani skipper Javeira produced another
match-winning knock of 36 as the visitors coasted the target in 14.5 overs
with 7 wickets in hand.

Salma Khatun, Khadija Tul Kubra and Rumana Ahmed shared one Pakistan’s
wicket apiece.

The only ODI between the two sides will be held on October 8 (Monday) at
the same venue.

Bangladesh Women – 77/10 in 20 overs, Rumana 24, Fahima 14, Natalia 3/20,
Sana Mir 2/10 and Diana 2/12.

Pakistan Women – 78/3 in 14.5 overs, Javeira 36, Nahida 17, Muneeba 18
n.o, Salma 1/8, Khadija 1/14 and Rumana 1/15.

Result: Pakistan Women won by 7 wickets.
