Govt. achieved laudable success in health sector: Col Hiro
NARSINGDI Oct 6, 2018 (BSS) – State Minister for Water Resources Lt. Colonel (Retd) Nazrul Islam Hiro (Birpratik), MP, today said here Bangladesh has already achieved laudable success in the health sector.
“The government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been implementing massive programmes for further improving the health sector to ensure quality medicare services for every citizen”, the state minister said while unveiling the foundation stone of a 250 beds district hospital building which was earlier a 100 beds one..
He said a specialized hospital is very necessary in this district town as it situated on the side of Dhaka-Sylhet highway because huge patients gather here when a road accident occurs. But due to want of a trauma centre, the patients are not getting proper treatment when it is badly needed.
The state minister said that a trauma center and a kidney dialysis center would be establish here gradually.
Local MP Sirajul Islam Mollah, Deputy Commissioner of Narsingdi Syeda Farhana Kawnine, Police Super Shaifullah Al Mamun, Civil Surgeon Dr. Halel Uddin, President of BMA Narsingdi unite Mozzamel Hoque Kamal and President of district Jubo League Bijoy Krisnho Gossami, among others, were present.
