AL wants everyone to participate in elections: Anisul

RANGPUR, Oct 05, 2018 (BSS) – Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs
Minister Anisul Huq has said Awami League (AL) wants participation of all
political parties in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

“The elections will be held timely as per constitution,” Haq said while
addressing a function after inaugurating newly built court building of the
Chief Judicial Magistrate in Panchagarh town on Thursday as the chief guest.

The Minister also planted a tree sapling and released balloons, festoon
and pigeon while inaugurating the new court building built at a cost of
around Taka 50 crore by the Public Works Division (PWD).

With Panchagarh District and Sessions Judge Abu Mansur Ziaul Haque in the
chair, Nurul Islam Sujon, MP, Nazmul Haque Prodhan, MP, Selina Jahan Lita,
MP, Secretary of the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry Abu
Saleh Md Zahirul Haque, Deputy Commissioner of Panchagarh Mohammad Zahirul
Islam, Superintendent of Police Giasuddin Ahmed, District Bar Association
President Advocate Nazmul Islam among other addressed the function.

Haq addressed a public rally organised by Boda upazila AL on Dhanhati
ground in Boda upazila town as the chief guest with upazila AL President and
Boda municipal Mayor Advocate Wahiduzzaman Shuja in the chair.

Haq said, “We believe in the independence of all. Political parties will
decide independently at their own whether to take part in the polls or not.
We have no say in this regard.”

“We are sincerely requesting and inviting all political parties concerned
to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections. However, they will
actually come up with their own decisions,” he said.

Huq said, “The development train is running. As long as Sheikh Hasina
steers, this train will move on the track. Bangladesh will become a developed
country by 2041 under her able leadership.”

He said vested quarters are hatching conspiracies to vandalise the
elections for going to power and asked the common people to become aware to
unitedly thwart all conspiracies.

The Minister urged the people to vote for the symbol ‘Boat’ in the next
polls for continuation of the development process on the highway of
development to build a middle income nation by 2021 and developed Bangladesh
by 2041.
