33 held, drugs seized in Satkhira
SATKHIRA, Dec 14, 2017 (BSS) – Police, in special drives arrested 33 persons including four drug traders from different areas of the district in last 12-hour ending at 8am this morning today
Police also recovered 40 pieces of Yaba tablets and 150-gram of Ganja during the drives.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different areas of the district.
During the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested nine persons including two drug traders with 20 pieces of yaba tablets and 150-gram of ganja from Fingri area around 11pm, Kalaroa Thana police arrested five persons including two drug traders with 20 pieces of yaba tablets from Jalalpur area around 11:30pm, Tala Thana police arrested seven persons, Kaliganj Thana police arrested two persons, Shyamnagar police arrested two persons, Assasuni police arrested three persons, Patkelghata Thana police arrested two persons and Debhata police arrested three persons.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources added.
The arrested were sent to jail.
