Dev fair begins in Manikganj
Manikganj, Oct. 4, 2018 (BSS) – The development fair began here today
aiming to give an idea about the government’s multiple development
initiatives and successes made in the last 10 years.
Deputy Commissioner of the district SM Ferdous inaugurated the fair with
the theme ‘Indomitable Bangladesh in Advancement of Development’ at the
playground of Manikganj Government High School in the morning by releasing
balloons.
Government officials, NGO’s workers, political leaders and people of all
walks of life participated in the inaugural function.
Development successes achieved in different sectors under the dynamic and
farsighted leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be exhibited to
the mass people through the fair.
During the fair, special focus will be given on Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina’s 10 special initiatives, international recognitions and successes,
Vision-2021 and 2041, ICT development, Bangabandhu Satellite, Padma Bridge
project and Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant project.
The three-day fair will also include seminars, branding the district,
providing different services to the citizens and cultural functions.
A total of 120 stalls were set on the fair ground.
