Development Fair begins in Narsingdi
Narsingdi, Oct-4 (BSS) The three day 4th National Development Fair 2018 began here and its six upazilas as elsewhere in the country today aiming to show the government’s multiple development activities and successes.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the fair through video conference from her official residence Ganobhaban.
Secretary of the Planning ministry Mostafizur Rahman was present in the inaugural period at Shilpakala Academy Narsingdi as a chief guest with Deputy Commissioner of the district Seyda Farhana Kawnine in the chair.
Secretary Mostafizur Rahman in his speech said Bangladesh beaome a role model for development in the world. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has set up an example of mega development across the country in the last ten years. He said the dreams of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mojiber Rahaman is going to be achieved.
Police Super of Narsingdi Saifullah Al Mamun, Civil Surgeon Narsingdi Dr. Halal Uddin, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) Abdul Awal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rev) Saiful Islam, and District Multajuddah Commander Motleb Pathen among others were also present in the inaugural session.
About 105 stalls of government and non-government organization, Bank, Educational Institutions and other organization take part in the fair setting up their stalls.
Earlier, a huge procession led by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Seyda Farhana Kawnine paraded different streets of the district town.
