India 232-3 against West Indies in first Test

RAJKOT, India, Oct 4, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – Debutant teen opener Prithvi Shaw
made 134 as India reached 232-3 at tea on the opening day of the first Test
against West Indies in Rajkot on Thursday.

The 18-year-old Shaw put on a dominating 206-run second wicket partnership
with Cheteshwar Pujara, who made 86, after India lost an early wicket while
electing to bat first.

Shaw, who became the youngest Indian to score a ton on debut at 18 years
and 329 days, was caught and bowled by leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo just
before the break. Skipper Virat Kohli, on four, and Ajinkya Rahane were at
the crease.
