DMP files 4,543 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Oct 4, 2018 (BSS)- Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Wednesday
filed 4,543 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule
violation.
It also realized over Taka 36.97 lakh as fine for traffic rule
violation, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 344 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides,
104 for using hydraulic horn, five for using hotter and beckon light and nine
others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1,449 cases against motorcycles and seized 121 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 29 vehicles and wrecked 870 others.
