DMP files 4,436 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Oct 3, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Tuesday
filed 4,436 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule
violation.
It also realized over Taka 37.68 lakh as fine for traffic rule
violation, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 338 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 94
for using hydraulic horn, 10 for using hotter and beckon light and 13 others
for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1,388 cases against motorcycles and seized 96 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 37 vehicles and wrecked 818 others.
