KHULNA, Oct 3, 2018 (BSS) -The three-day fourth Bangladesh Development
Fair-2018 begins with the theme ‘Indomitable Bangladesh in Advancement of
Development’ on the local Circuit House ground tomorrow.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate the fair through a
videoconferencing from her official residence Ganabhaban in the capital city
Dhaka at 10 am.
The fair is aimed at showcasing the development activities of the present
government.
Deputy commissioner (DC) of Khulna Mohammad Helal Hossain made the
announcement at a press conference here last night.
Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Narayan Chandra Chanda is expected to
attend the inaugural function of the event here as chief guest.
A total of 154 government and nongovernment organizations have set up
stalls in the fair.
Mayor of Khulna City Corporation Talukder Abdul Khaleque, local lawmaker
Mizanur Rahman Mizan, Khulna Divisional Commissioner Lokman Hossain Mia,
Police Super KM Shafiullah and president of Khulna Press Club Faruk Ahmed,
also spoke at the conference.
A colourful procession will be brought out in the city before inauguration
of the fair.
