Printing of primary school textbooks to end by Dec 14
DHAKA, Oct 2, 2018 (BSS) – The printing of textbooks for primary schools by the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) for the year 2019 would be completed by December 14 this year.
The information was revealed today at the 47th meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Primary and Mass Education at the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban with the committee chairman Md Motahar Hossian in the chair, said an official release here.
Committee members Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman, AKM Zahangir Hossain, Ali Azam and Mohammed Ellias attended the meeting.
The meeting was informed that there is a plan of establishing an independent board for primary education by 2020-21 under the Fourth Primary Education Development Programme (PEDP-4).
Detailed discussions were held on the PEDP-4 in the meeting.
Primary and Mass Education Secretary Md Akram-Al-Hossain and other high officials concerned were present in the meeting.
