National Productivity day observed today

DHAKA, Oct, 2, 2018 (BSS) – The National Productivity Day was observed today in the country in a befitting manner aiming to create mass awareness to raise productivity in all fields, including industrial agriculture and service sectors.

Marking the day, the ministry of industries chalked out elaborate programmes, including bringing out colorful rally, seminar and discussion across the country, said a press release.

Officials and employees of different ministries and private organisations took part in a rally led by Acting Secretary of Industries Ministry Md Abdul Halim. Starting from Osmani Memorial Auditorium, the rally ended in front of Industries Ministry building.

“The Awami League government’s aim is to turn Bangladesh into a middle-income country by 2021,” Acting Secretary Halim said while addressing the rally, organised by National Productivity Organisation (NPO) under Ministry of Industries here.

He hoped that observance of National Productivity Day will play a vital role in accelerating the trend of productivity for development of Bangladesh.
