All set to hold MBBS admission test

DHAKA, Oct 01, 2018 (BSS) – Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim today said all necessary preparations have been taken to hold the upcoming MBBS admission test amid utmost security measures.

This was told at a meeting between law-enforcement agencies and admission test related oversight committee for holding the MBBS admission test in a disciplined and peaceful situation at secretariat here. Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim chaired the meeting.

All the candidates ought to enter into the admission centers within 9.30 am on the examination day, said the minister, adding that all kinds of electronic devices and watches, including the mobile phones, will not be allowed to carry by the students and duty officials.

The students will be allowed to carry pens along with the admit cards during the admission test.

The health minster hoped that the strict measures regarding the admission test this year will help maintain transparency of the medical admission test process.

“The government will not compromise with the matter of ensuring the real meritorious students get admission into the medical colleges across the country in order to reach the quality health care services to the people,” the minister noted.

At the same time, the minister also urged the students, guardians, civil society members and media persons to foil any fake question leakage scam and rumor to this end, the minister said.

The health department also will open a control room at its office for smooth operation of the admission test. The telephone number of the control room will be announced to the media.
