Nasim rules out possibility of accepting BNP’s 7-point demand

DHAKA, Oct 01, 2018 (BSS) – Awami League led 14-party alliance spokesperson Mohammed Nasim today ruled out the possibility of accepting BNP’s seven-point demands, terming those as unrealistic.

“There is no scope to think about your demands…Rather you come and join the polls, nothing would happen without the polls,” he said,

Nasim, also the Health and Family Welfare Minister, said this at a rally at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) in city’s Kakrail area. The rally was organised by Islamic Front Bangladesh (IFB).

IFB chairman Syed Bahadur Shah presided over the function.

Nasim called upon the BNP leaders to join next national election shunning all sorts of conditions.

“BNP has no alternative to participating in the elections, no matter what they say. Their existence would be at stake if they don’t join the elections eventually,” he said.

Nasim urged the BNP leaders to repose faith in people of the country as they would vote for their preferred party and AL will accept defeat if people don’t elect them.

‘We won’t go beyond the Constitution… So please get ready for joining the election as per the Constitution,’ he added.
