KHULNA, Oct 1, 2018 (BSS) – As part of its programme to curry support in
favour of the ruling Awami League (AL), leaders of Khulna AL today launched
an inspirational campaign titled ‘Vote for Boat’ to help the party return to
power once again.

The campaign characterized by its unique political fashion drummed up
support for the party to keep up the ongoing development spree. The AL
leaders pleaded to the electorates to imbue with the spirit of the Liberation
War while undertaking development endeavours for turning Bangladesh into a
developed country by 2041.

During the programme, the AL leaders along with party workers joined a
rally in front of party’s city office and brought out a procession that ended
at the party office after parading different city streets.

Parliament member and general secretary of city unit AL Mizanur Rahman
Mizan chaired the rally while AL leaders Moqbul Hossain Mintu, Munshi Mahbub
Alam Sohag, Mofidul Islam Tutul and KCC councilor and general secretary of
Sadar thana unit AL Fakir Saiful Islam spoke, among others.

Mizan, who is also the coordinator of city’s 14-party alliances, said
there is no alternative to build a hunger and poverty free Bangladesh without
AL.

Referring to Bangladesh’s elevation to a developing country from its
least-developed (LDC) status, he said, the country will reach the goal of a
developed country under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
