Govt won’t create any hurdle in BNP’s routine movement: Quamrul

DHAKA, Oct 1, 2018 (BSS) – Food Minister Advocate Quamrul Islam today said
the government would not create any hurdle in the routine movement of the
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

“The government even the Awami League will not create any obstacle in the
movement lead by the BNP,” he said while inaugurating the newly constructed
buildings of Ispahani College at Keraniganj.

Referring to the yesterday’s public rally organized by the BNP, the food
minister said, “BNP’s yesterday rally at the Suhrawardy Uddyan proves that
the party does not have the capability to hold mammoth mass rallies besides
routine demonstration at district and divisional level.”

The minister, however, is confident that BNP will participate in the next
general election after creating unstable political situation. “But their
demand would not be fulfilled,” he added.

About the upcoming election, the food minister said the next parliamentary
election would be held at the right time as per constitution. Prime Minister
Sheikh Hasina will be the state chief during the election-time interim
government.

Quamrul said she [Sheikh Hasina] will define what will be the actual size
of the election-time government. However, the government has no plan to
include BNP in the cabinet of the poll-time government.
