Nat’l productivity day to be observed on Oct 2
DHAKA, Sept 29, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh will observe the National Productivity Day on October 2 for creating mass awareness to increase productivity in different sectors including agriculture, industry and service sectors.
The main theme of the day this year is ‘Productivity for Developing Happy and Prosperous Country.’
Marking the day, National Productivity Organization (NPO) has chalked out elaborate programmes.
As part of the programmes, a colorful rally, led by Secretary-in-Charge of the Industries Ministry M Abdul Halim, will be brought out from the road adjacent to Osmani Memorial Auditorium around 8 am with participation of officials of different ministries and owners and workers of different industries.
Besides, a seminar titled ‘Productivity for Developing Happy and Prosperous Country’ will be held at CIRDAP auditorium at 4 pm.
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu will be present as the chief guest at the seminar organised by NPO. Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury will be present at the seminar as the special guest.
Besides, NPO has published booklets, souvenir and posters marking the day.
