DMP files 5984 cases for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Sept 29, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Friday filed
5984 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation.
It also realized over Taka 41.32 lakh as fine for traffic rule
violation, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 447 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 75
for using hydraulic horn, two for using hotter and beckon light, and 21
vehicles for using tinted glass.
Police filed 2,146 cases against motorcycles and seized 98 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 30 vehicles and wrecked 604 others.
