PM Sheikh Hasina’s birthday celebrated in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Sept 28, 2018 (BSS) – Bangladesh Awami League (AL) and its
associate bodies here celebrated the 72nd birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh
Hasina through various programmes today.

The district and city units of AL and is associate bodies organised
separate milad mahfils and discussions at their respective offices in the
city to celebrate the day.

Acting President of district AL Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed and City AL
President Shafiur Rahman Shafi respectively presided over the discussions
held at their respective offices this evening.

Member of the Parliament from reserved constituency Advocate Hosne Ara
Lutfa Dalia attended the milad mahfils and addressed a number of discussions
organised by AL and its associate bodies.

General Secretary of district unit of AL Advocate Rezaul Karim Raju, its
city unit General Secretary Tushar Kanti Mandal, senior AL leaders Professor
Mazed Ali babul, Shahinur Rahman Sohel, Latifa Shawkat, Abul Kashem, Joynal
Abedin, Advocate Dilshad Hossain Mukul, Nabiullah Panna, Rosy Rahman,
Advocate Zakia Sultana Choite, among others, addressed the discussions.

The speakers congratulated Sheikh Hasina on her birthday and offered
munajats seeking her sound health, long life and continuous success in
building a prosperous ‘Sonar Bangla’ as dreamt by Father of the Nation
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Advocate Rezaul Karim Raju said Bangabandhu gave the nation independence
and the Bangalees would build a developed ‘Sonar Bangla’ free from
exploitation under the leadership of his daughter Sheikh Hasina to finish the
unfinished task of Bangabandhu.

Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed urged leaders and activists of AL and its associate
bodies to further strengthen the hands of Sheikh Hasina in speeding up
developments for building a middle income nation by 2021 and developed
country subsequently by 2041.
