Two minor girls drown in Khansama
RANGPUR, Sept 28, 2018 (BSS) – Two minor girls drowned in a pond in
Jhapupara Moholla of Chhatiangarh village under Khansama upazila of Dinajpur
district today, police said.
“The victims are Motahara Khanom, 7, daughter of Motahar Hossain and
Shamima Begum, 6, daughter of Shahinur Islam of the same village,” said
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Khansama Thana Abdul Matin Prodahn told BSS.
The victim babies went missing since this noon after going out of their
respective houses to take bathe in nearby pond beyond the knowledge of their
parents.
“But, they drowned in the pond and local people recovered their bodies
in the afternoon,” said OC added.
