100 pc electricity coverage in country by December: Nasrul
DHAKA, Sept 28, 2018 (BSS) – State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral
Resources Nasrul Hamid Bipu today said the entire country will be brought
under 100 percent electricity coverage by December this year.
“No villages will be remained without electricity….
We are working sincerely to fulfill the target of 100 percent electricity
coverage” he told the inaugural function of the newly constructed office of
local unit of Awami League at Zinzira in Keraniganj upazila of the district.
Nasrul said demand of power is increasing day by day as massive
developments have been taken place in the country.
To fulfill the targets of development, the government has taken
initiatives to increase power production, he added.
Keraniganj upazila chairman Shahin Ahmed, representatives of local
government bodies, leaders and activists of AL, among others, were present at
the function.
