Hasumonir Pathshala to observe Sheikh Hasina’s birthday tomorrow

DHAKA, Sept 27, 2018 (BSS) – The Hasumonir Pathshala will observe Awami League (AL) President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s 71st birth anniversary tomorrow.

The pathshala, a library and research-oriented socio-cultural institution at 185 Bir Uttam CR Dutta Road at Hatirpool in the city, was established on September 28 on the 70th birth anniversary of Sheikh Hasina aimed at spreading the ideology of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his eldest daughter Sheikh Hasina among the young generation.

The name Hasumoni was chosen as Bangabandhu fondly called Sheikh Hasina as “Hasumoni.”

The pathshala will organise an art competition for children, exhibition, a day-long cultural function, poem recitation and a doa and milad mahfil marking the birth anniversary of Sheikh Hasina and its founding anniversary at Shishu Academy in the capital.

Eminent artists of the country will draw 71 portraits of Sheikh Hasina. Artist Shahabuddin Ahmed will draw “Hasumonir Bangladesh” along with the little participants on a 71-foot canvas.

Prime Minister’s International Affairs Adviser Dr Gowher Rizvi is expected to be present as the chief guest while eminent artist Shahabuddin to inaugurate the function.

Symbolizing the 71st birth anniversary of Sheikh Hasina, 71 students of class IV to X from different city schools will join the event.

“We have taken the initiative to spread ideology, political prudence, sincerity, honesty, devotion and dynamism of Bangabandhu and his daughter Sheikh Hasina before the new generation,” Pathshala’s founder and also AL Central Committee Member, Marufa Akhter Poppy told BSS today.

Talking about the future plan about the pathshala, she also said, “We want to reach the ideology of Bangabandhu and Sheikh Hasina to every people across the country through the Hasumonir Pathshala.”

She said the new generation will get inspiration and encouragement from the life and works of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his daughter Sheikh Hasina.

The library has an enriched collection of books on history and heritage of Bangladesh and Bangalee nation, the Language Movement, the Liberation War, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Deshratno Sheikh Hasina.

It arranges seminars, symposium, view-exchange meetings and roundtables on Sheikh Hasina’s contribution to strengthen democracy and development of the country. The pathshala also makes printed, audio-visual and internet based publications on those programmes.
