DHAKA, Sept 27, 2018 (BSS) – An agriculture officer died after a bus hit
him in Farmgate area of the city this morning.
The deceased, Sirajul Islam, 55, was an officer at Bangladesh Agricultural
Development Corporation (BADC) in the city’s Motijheel area, Dhaka Medical
College Hospital (DMCH) police outpost in-charge Sub-Inspector (SI) Bachchu
Mian told BSS.
Witnesses said the accident took place at around 8 am when a bus hit
Sirajul when he was waiting for a transport near Ananda Cinema Hall to go to
his workplace.
Locals took him to Al-Razi Hospital. Later, he was referred to DMCH where
the on-duty doctors declared him dead on arrival at around 12 noon.
Sirajul hailed from Sadar upazila of Kishoreganj. He was residing in East
Rajabazar Ambagan area of Farmgate here with his family.
