DHAKA, Sept 26, 2018 (BSS)- Awami League Presidium Member and
spokesperson of the AL-led 14-party alliance Mohammad Nasim today
said BNP will have to face the music if it wants to create violence
centering on the upcoming national polls.
“We want peace. We want elections. We don’t want violence and
anarchy in the country. If anyone wants to create unstable situation, they
will face dire consequences,” he said, speaking at a meeting at an
auditorium of Jatiya Press Club here.
Bangladesh Bastuhara League organized the meeting with its president
Tofazzal Hossain Babu in the chair.
Nasim, also the health and family welfare minister, said, “We
announced a grand rally of the AL-led 14-party alliance at Mahanagar
Natyamancha on September 29 and after that BNP convened a rally on
September 27, but all on a sudden they shifted their rally to September
29.”
He said they want to create anarchy centering the forthcoming national
elections.
Nasim said the upcoming parliamentary elections will be held as per
the Constitution in a free, fair and peaceful manner and the people will
elect their chosen candidates.
But, he said, BNP and their collaborator Jamaat have begun
conspiracies centering on the polls. “They (BNP) don’t obey the
Constitution and law,” he added.
BNP wants to create instability in the country when a peaceful
situation is existing. They are hatching conspiracy to this end, the health
minister said.
Nasim said the countrymen are with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and
therefore no strength in the world can resist the forthcoming polls.
He urged the 14-party leaders and activists to attend the meeting on
September 29 at Mohanagar Natyamanch to make it a success.
AL Advisory Council Member Mozaffar Hossain Paltu and AL South
City Unit Vice President Abu Ahmed Mannafi, among others, also
addressed the meeting.
