Government working for global standard education: KU VC
KHULNA, Sept 26, 2018 (BSS) – Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Khulna University
(KU) Professor Dr Md Fayequzzaman here said the present government is working
relentlessly for developing quality of education in the country.
He was speaking as the chief guest while inaugurating a workshop styled
‘National Qualifications Frame Work of Bangladesh (NQFB),’ held at Lecture
Theatre of the campus.
Chaired by the director of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of
KU Prof Dr Ahmed Ahsanuzzaman, VC of Barisal University Dr S M Imamul Haque,
Chief of QAUC under Bangladesh University Grants Commission Dr Sanjoy Kumar
Adhikari and treasurer of KU Prof Sadhan Ranjan Ghosh addressed as special
guests.
Additional Director of IQAC of KU Prof Dr Sameer Kumar Sadhu moderated
the workshop. Quality Assurance Specialist Dr Ahmed Tazmin presented a power
point presentation.
The chief guest said the government has taken various initiatives in the
last few years to bring the country’s numerous education systems in a planned
frame work.
“The government is implementing Higher Quality Education Project (HEQEP)
in a view to upgrade quality education from primary level to higher
education. Any government except present government has not taken any step
for epoch-making education system after 1947,” he said.
