Mainland Chinese stocks dip at open
HONG KONG, Sept 25, 2018 (BSS/AFP) – Chinese stocks opened lower on
Tuesday as trade tensions with the US intensified with the announcement of
more tit-for-tat tariffs.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.80 percent, or 22.41
points, to 2,775.07, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks
on China’s second exchange, shed 0.72 percent, or 10.42 points, to 1,434.69.
Hong Kong markets are closed for a public holiday.
