BNP wants to cross out Begum Zia: Nasim
DHAKA, Sept 24, 2018 (BSS) – Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad
Nasim today said the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) itself has taken
initiatives to cross out its leader Begum Khaleda Zia through participating a
meeting under the banner of ‘Jukto Front’ led by Dr Kamal Hossain.
“Hiring an isolated leader like Kamal is unfortunate matter for BNP,”
said the minister while talking to journalists at a press conference
following the 14-party meeting at Priyanka community centre in city’s
Dhanmondi.
“The BNP itself has taken initiatives to leave its two leaders by
participating in a meeting of the Jukto Front…BNP now has to hire other
leadership to run their party,” said the minister who is also a presidium
member of the ruling party Awami League.
Sharply criticising the process of the national unity under the
leadership of Dr Kamal Hossain, he said perpetrators of one-eleven who
contain the spirit of anti-liberation forces and gave support and cooperation
to Bangabandhu’ self-confessed killers staged drama at Mahanagar Nattyamanch
on September 22.
People know that the perpetrators of 1/11 who mainly wanted to make
Shiekh Hasina minus, said the minister, adding that but united movement of
the people and courage of Sheikh Hasina had defeated them.
Against the conspiracy, the 14-party spokesman said they have a plan to
hold public rally in all divisions, adding that as part of the programme, the
14-party will hold a rally at Mahanagar Nattyamanch on September 29 and then
the next programme will be announced from there.
Earlier, Joint General Secretary of the ruling Awami League(AL) Abdur
Rahman, Organizing Secretary Ahmad Hossen and Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury,
Cultural Secretary Asim Kumar Ukil, Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Sujit
Roy Nandi, Deputy Office Secretary Biplob Barua, General Secretary of
Samyabadi Dal Dilip Barua, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) General Secretary
Shirin Akhter, Workers Party Polit Bureau member Anisur Rahman Mallick,
Nazibur Basar Maizbandari of Tariqat Federation, Dhaka City AL General
Secretary Shah-e Alam Murad, Joint General Secretary Dr Dilip Kumar Roy
attended the meeting of 14 party alliance with Health and Family Welfare
Minister Mohammad Nasim in the chair.
