DMP realizes Tk 41 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation
DHAKA, Sept 24, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Sunday
realized over Taka 40.89 lakh as fine for traffic rule violation.
It also filed 8,872 cases for traffic rule violation, said an official
release.
Of the total cases, 829 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 194
for using hydraulic horn, nine for using hotter and beckon lights and 20
vehicles for using tinted glass.
Police filed 3,136 cases against motorcycles and seized 165 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 32 vehicles and wrecked 1,095 others.
