DHAKA, Sept 23, 2018 (BSS) – Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan
Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Saturday
filed 8,385 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rules
violation.
It also realized 26.91 lakh as fine for traffic rules violation, said an
official release here today.
Of the total cases, 664 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 204
for using hydraulic horn, 11 for using hotter and beckon light, 27 vehicles
for using tinted glass and two others for using police stickers.
Police filed 2,884 cases against motorcycles and seized 127 others for
violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 31 vehicles and wrecked 1059 others.
