NSU student killed in Jamalpur accident
JAMALPUR, Sept 22, 2018 (BSS) – A North South University (NSU) student was
killed and another injured in a road accident on Jamalpur-Melandaha bypass
road in sadar upazila of the district last night.
The deceased was identified as Foysal, 21, son of Nizam Uddin in
Dhakaipotti area of Jamalpur town. He was also a student of engineering
faculty of NSU.
The accident occurred around 9 pm last night as a speedy truck rammed a
motorcycle carrying Foysal and his friend Sijan in front of Sheikh Hasina
Medical College in the area, leaving Foysal dead on the spot and his friend
critically injured, said Officer-in-charge (OC) of Jamalpur sadar police
station.
Sijan was admitted to Jamalpur General Hospital.
Police seized the truck but its driver managed to flee.
