National Young Researchers’ conference held at DU
DHAKA, Sept 20, 2018 (BSS) – With the slogan “Walking on path with lights”, the third Young Researcher Conference was held yesterday at Dhaka University (DU).
DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman inaugurated
the programme at Teacher-Student-Center (TSC) organised by Chinter Chash, a volunteer research organisation.
Prof Akhtaruzzaman said that the young researchers got a platform through which they would be able to learn the research methodology.
“The world is progressing through a knowledge-based economy. You should develop your intellectual skills through which you will be able to come up with innovative things,” he told the participants.
“Innovative power develops through thinking and a good thinking can change everything,” he added.
Du Economics Department Chairperson Dr. Shafique uz Zaman, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department Professor Dr. Haseena Khan and Chinter Chash Chairman Shafiqur Rahman, among others, were present at the programme.
Students from 28 schools of Dhaka, Sylhet, Rajshahi and Barishal divisions joined the conference.
