Seven with fake medical degrees get BMDC registration: ACC
DHAKA, Sept 20, 2018 (BSS) – The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has found huge irregularities in Bangladesh Medical and Dental College (BMDC) in giving registration to persons with fake medical degrees.
“BMDC can’t give such registration without verification. ACC is going to conduct an inquiry into the matter soon. Legal action will be taken against the people responsible for the misdeed,” said coordinator of the enforcement team and director general (admin) of the commission Muhammad Munir Chowdhury.
An enforcement team of the ACC today conducted a raid at BMDC following receipt of an allegation that 12 persons have got registration from BMDC with fake medical degrees obtained from Taishan Medical University, China.
The team in its primary inquiry found that they did not get any degree from the medical university.
It also found huge irregularities of the papers of seven doctors after scrutinizing those. Of them, three are now doing internship at Gonoshasthaya Medical College.
The BMDC authority has failed to give any explanation concerning the irregularities to the ACC team.
