Three missing as boat capsizes in Padma
PABNA, Sept 20, 2018 (BSS) – Three people, including two children, went
missing as a boat capsized in the River Padma in Goilbari area in Sadar
upazila today.
The missing people are identified as Abul Hashem, 27, Biplob, 07 and
Nyem, 06. All of them are the residents at Goilbari village.
Local people said 11 people were on board. However, eight managed to swim
to the shore.
Officer-in-Charge of Pabna Sadar Thana Obaidur Rahman said they are
conducting rescue operation with the help of local people. Deputy
Commissioner of Pabna Md Josim Uddin visited the spot.
