Govt formulating Intellectual Property Policy: official
DHAKA, Sept 20, 2018 (BSS) – Secretary-in-Charge of Industries Ministry M Abdul Halim today said the government is formulating the “Intellectual Property Policy” to achieve the goal of the knowledge based industrialisation in the country.
“Industries Ministry is working for developing the knowledge based industrialization. So, we are focusing on the accreditation concept for ensuring quality of products,” he said at a function to award certificates to the trainees of the “21st Understanding Training Course on ISO/IEC 17025:2017” at the Industries Ministry in the city, said a press release.
Director General of the Bangladesh Accreditation Board (BAB) M Monowarul Islam presided over the function while directors of the Bangladesh Standard Testing Institute (BSTI) Samim Ara Begum and Nur Alam, among others, were present.
Halim said the government is increasing the number of accredited laboratories across the country.
