Electronic device use prohibited in medical admission test

DHAKA, Sept 20, 2018 (BSS) – The use of electronic devices like
calculator, watch and metallic pen has been prohibited in the medical
admission test scheduled to be held on October 5.

A set of decisions have also been taken at a coordination meeting held at
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) headquarters here today between police and
the people involved in holding medical admission test.

Chaired by the meeting, DMP Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia assured of
taking necessary measures to hold the medical admission test in a transparent
manner.

Cyber unit of the DMP and different intelligence agencies are ready to
prevent any sort of rumour and propaganda about the test using social
networking sites.

In line with decisions, no guardian will be allowed to enter exam centres
and stay inside or outside of the centres. No examinee will be allowed to
enter the centre after 9.30 am as the gates of the centres will be opened
8:30 am.

The medical admission test of five medical colleges will be held at nine
exam centres from 10 am on October 5. A total of 34,740 examinees will take
part in the examination.

Only the in-charges of the exam centres will be entitled to keep their
mobile phones open. No examinees will be allowed to enter exam centre without
search. Police personnel along with representatives of the Health Ministry
and other officials concerned will conduct the search.

Proctor of Dhaka University Dr AKM Golam Rabbani, Principal of Shaheed
Suhrawardi Medical College Prof ABM Maksudul Alam, Director of Director
General of Health Service Prof Dr MA Rouf, Principal of Sir Salimullah
Medical College Prof Dr Md Billal Alam and Principal of Mugda Medical College
Dr Shah Golam Rabbani were, among others, present at the meeting.

High officials of the DMP and representatives of different intelligence
agencies were also present.
