ARREST-SATKHIRA
48 held in Satkhira
SATKHIRA, Sept 20, 2018 (BSS) – Police, in special drives arrested 48
persons from eight upazilas of the district in last 12-hour ending at 8am
this morning.
Police also recovered 72 pieces of Yaba tablets during the drives.
Sources with the district police said they were picked up from different
areas of the district.
During the drives, Satkhira Sadar police arrested 12 persons and recovered
51 pieces of Yaba tablets in an abandoned condition, Kalaroa Thana police
arrested six persons, Tala Thana police arrested eight persons, Kaliganj
Thana police arrested nine persons, Shyamnagar Thana police arrested five
persons, Assasuni Thana police arrested four persons and recovered 21 pieces
of Yaba tablets in an abandoned conditions, Patkelghata Thana police arrested
two persons and Debhata Thana police arrested two persons.
The arrested people are accused in several cases, including charges of
subversive activities, filed with different police stations in the district.
The arrested were sent to jail.
