Informing young generations about Bangabandhu stressed

RANGPUR, Sept 20, 2018 (BSS)-Educationists and officials at a function
here have laid emphasis on informing the young generations about every aspect
of the life, works and sacrifice of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh
Mujibur Rahman to instill true patriotism in them.

They came up with the opinion at a discussion arranged by Rangpur
Government Public Library (GPL) in its seminar room on Wednesday afternoon to
distribute prizes of different competitions among winner students of
different educational institutions.

Rangpur GPL organised the competitions for school, college and university
level students on essay writing in five categories and drawing in two
categories recently in observance of the National Mourning Day- 2018 and 43rd
Anniversary of Martyrdom of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur
Rahman.

Former Head of the Department of Bengali of Rangpur Government Rokeya
College Professor Md Shah Alam presided over the discussion followed by the
prize giving ceremony.

Headmistress of Rangpur Government Girls’ High School Farida Yasmin and
Assistant Librarian of Rangpur GPL Abed Hossain addressed the function as
special guests.

Later, the chief guest distributed prizes and certificates among the
winner students of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur Government Rokeya
College, Carmichael College, Rangpur Zila School, Rangpur Government Girls’
High School, Rangpur Cantonment Public School and College, Shaheed Samad High
School and other educational institutions.

Headmistress Farida Yasmin said the young generations should know the
lifelong uncompromising struggles and sacrifice of Bangabandhu in liberating
the nation so that they could have adequate knowledge about the true national
history.

The chief guest urged the teachers to properly inform students of the
present time on Bangabandhu and War of Liberation to make them patriotic
citizens so that they could lead the nation in future.
