Grandmother, grandson drown in Gopalganj
GOPALGANJ, Sept 18, 2018 (BSS) – A grandmother along with her grandson
drowned in a pond at Chechaniakandi village in Sadar upazila of the district
this noon.
The deceased were identified as Shuvashini Baidya, 50, and her grandson
Chamok Baidya, 4, hailed from the village.
Local people said the incident occurred when Chamok fell into a pond near
to their house where Shuvashini taking bath. At the meantime, she started to
find her grandson into the pond water. But she also drowned.
Locals brought them to Gopalganj General Hospital where on-duty doctors
declared them dead.
