Court sets Oct 10 for Aug 21 grenade attack verdict
DHAKA, Sept 18, 2018 (BSS) – The special court, trying the August 21, 2004
grenade attack case today set October 10 for delivering its verdict wrapping
up the protracted trial process.
“The hearing process has ended today . . . the date for delivering the
verdict is on 10-10-2018,” judge Shahed Nuruddin of Dhaka 1st Speedy Trial
Tribunal pronounced wrapping up the hearing after 118 days of argument.
A total of 24 AL leaders and workers including the then Mohila Awami
League President and wife of late President Zillur Rahman, Ivy Rahman, were
killed and 500 others were injured in the attack.
