Two held with 1,960 Yaba tablets in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI, Sept 18, 2018 (BSS)-Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)
arrested two alleged drug traders with banned Yaba tablets from a commercial
place in the city last night.
RAB sources said the arrested persons were identified as Ashukur Rahman,
42, son of Abdul Aziz and Badal Mondal, 45, son of late Nazer Mondal.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a sudden raid at Seroil
Bus Terminal under Boalia Model Police Station around 10.30 pm and arrested
them.
The RAB team recovered 1,960 pieces of Yaba tablets and Taka 9,832 in cash
after searching their bodies.
The sources said the arrested persons were involved in Yaba trading and
trafficking for long.
A case was recorded with the police station in this connection. The
arrested persons along with the seized contraband items were handed over to
the police today.
