91 held in Dinajpur
DINAJPUR, Sept 18, 2018 (BSS)- Police, in special drives arrested 91
persons including seven drug traders, five activists of Jamaat-E-Islami, six
activists of BNP from different areas of the district in last 12-hour ending
at 8am this morning.
Police also seized 119 bottles of Phensidyl, 100 liters of locally-made
liquor, three cocktails, 11 jihadi books and 203 pieces of Yaba tablets
during the drives.
Police said they were picked up from different areas of the district on
different charges.
During the drives, Dinajpur Sadar police arrested 13 persons including
seven drug traders along with 203 pieces of Yaba tablets, 119 bottles of
Phensidyl and 100 liters of locally-made liquor, Biral Thana police arrested
five persons, Birampur Thana police arrested four persons, Kaharole Thana
police arrested four persons, Chirirbandar Thana police arrested nine
persons, Phulbari Thana police arrested eight persons including three
activists of BNP, Bochaganj Thana police arrested two persons, Parbatipur
Thana police arrested seven persons including three activist of BNP,
Ghoraghat Thana police arrested nine persons including five activists of
Jamaat-E-Islami, Birganj Thana police arrested seven persons, Khansama Thana
police arrested four persons and Nawabganj Thana police arrested 19 persons
along with three cocktails and 11 jihadi books.
Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending
with different police stations against the arrested persons, the sources
added.
The arrested persons were sent to jail.
