ACC demolishes illegal portion of city building
DHAKA, Sept 17, 2017 (BSS) – An illegally constructed portion of an eight-storey building in the capital’s Shantinagar Bazar was demolished today following intervention of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
An enforcement team of the ACC conducted a drive following the receipt of an allegation of constructing a building defying the design approved by the RAJUK (Rajdhani Unnayan Kartipkhya) on a building at house no-13/17, Shantinagar Bazar.
The commission in its drive found that the building was constructed with occupying eight feet of land of the adjoining road and intervened in demolishing the illegal portion of the structure.
It also ordered to demolish three storeys of the eight storey building as the RAJUK gave approval of constructing five storeys only.
