BNP has no option but to join polls: Nasim

SIRAJGANJ, Sept 17, 2018 (BSS) – Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammed Nasim today said BNP has no option other than participating in the upcoming national parliamentary elections.

“BNP has no alternative to participating in the elections, no matter what they say. Their existence would be at stake if they don’t join the elections eventually,” he said.

Nasim told the newsmen while visiting ongoing construction work of Shaheed Monsur Ali Medical College and Hospital at Shialkole in Sirajganj.

He expressed the hope that this time a good number of political parties and alliances would join the polls, so it would be a competitive election husting and also a flawless and impartial one.

Nasim, also Awami League (AL) Presidium member, said that the next parliamentary polls will be held in accordance with the Constitution.

He urged all forces who believe in the spirit of the Liberation War to remain united ahead of the upcoming election.

Project Director Dr Krishna Kumer Paul, Police Super Tutul Chakrobarty, Civil Surgeon Dr Kazi Shamim Hossain and district AL Vice President Abu Yusuf Shurjo were also present, among others.
