“As per information given by Babu, the elite force conducted raid at Patgram Bazar and arrested JMB operative Talim Prodhan, 25, of village Rasulganj Saheb Danga in Patgram Thana of Lalmonirhat in the small hours today,” he said.

During primary interrogation, the arrested JMB operatives admitted that they had been remaining in hideouts for the past two years and conducting organisational activities.

“The arrested JMB men had been engaged in inspiring innocent young people to become members, enlisting new members, collecting fund and purchasing arms and ammunitions with the money,” Haque added.

“The arrested JMB men had plans to conduct subversive activities at different places of greater Rangpur region and efforts were on to collect information about other members of the outfit organisation to nab them,” he said.
