No one will remain homeless in Bangladesh within 2021: Shahriar

RAJSHAHI, Sept 13, 2018 (BSS)- State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam today said not a single person will remain homeless in the country within 2021.

He said the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working relentlessly to ensure all fundamental rights of the people.

The state minister was addressing a meeting to mark the inauguration of home distribution among the beneficiaries concerned under the project of ‘Jami Achhe Ghar Nai’ at Monigram Union Parishad conference hall under Bagha Upazila in the district as chief guest.

According to the officials concerned, the government has taken an initiative of building 408 houses in different unions of the upazila at a total cost of Taka 4.08 crore. The beneficiaries will get the new houses with power connection within next two months.

Chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shahin Reja, the meeting was addressed, among others, by local Awami League leaders Ashraful Islam, Azizul Alam, Bakul Hossain and Masud Rana.

Shahriar Alam said the present government has been implementing various projects to improve living condition of the people. He urged the people to repose their confidence on the government so that it can work for their welfare in the days ahead.

Bangladesh would be economically self-reliant if Awami League remains in power, he said.

Shahriar Alam called upon the people to vote for Awami League in the next national election to continue the pace of country’s development.
