3.1-magnitude quake hits northern India, no casualty reported

NEW DELHI, Sept. 12, 2018 (BSS/Xinhua) – A medium-intensity earthquake hit
the northern Indian state of Haryana Wednesday morning, with mild tremors
being felt in the national capital, officials said.

The quake measuring 3.1 on Richter Scale occurred in the state’s Jhajjar
district this morning.

Fortunately, there have been no casualties or damage to properties, a
disaster relief force official said.

This is the second quake to hit Jhajjar this week. A quake of 3.8
magnitude hit the district on Sunday, with tremors being reported in the
Indian capital and its adjoining areas.
